Malie, yes I can relate to you as well, as I quit cold turkey. This is my third attempt cold turkey, and I have been very successful at all three times. Hang in there, all will pass soon. Take up other good habits such as reading books, going for walks, etc, which should help a lot as well.

Thank You to all you for your replies.'s nice to know that these feelings are normal ,and you dont feel like you are the only one that has gone thru this.  I keep reminding myself that this is withdrawal symptoms and just need to be patient. tķs again !

hi Malie,, I quit cold Turkey as well, and am on week 2. I totally understand what you're saying about the foggy days. I feel like I'm in a constant daze. I haven't been sleeping very well, and my throats feels super scratchy. I personally find the cravings harder this week than I did my first, which I don't know why because I read that the first week is the worst. Good luck! Mind over matter!

Hi malie,
I quit cold turkey too.  I had difficulty sleeping for the first month.  I was anxious as well, mostly because my cravings were so severe that I worried that I would give in to them.  I never felt like I was in a fog, but life got more difficult as I grew more sleep deprived.  However, after about a month, I started to sleep normally again (maybe because I was just so tired, LOL).
Anyway, everything you are feeling is normal.  Just try to hang in there.  After a while, it will all start to get better.  You just have to be patient.  And determined.  And try to focus on the positives.  You are going to feel a whole lot better soon, and will have a great sense of accomplishment.  You are doing it, and you can continue to do it.  One day at a time.

My Milage:

My Quit Date: 12/29/2016
Smoke-Free Days: 112
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,800
Amount Saved: $336.00
Life Gained:
Days: 15 Hrs: 13 Mins: 17 Seconds: 47
