Hi Donna67,

I want to give you a great, big, fat CONGRATULATIONS!  Making it through the first month is a really big deal, and you should be so proud of yourself!  Woohoo!

At this point, both your body and your brain are getting used to you resisting the urges you still get.  Hopefully, it will start to get much easier from now on.

For me, the first whole month was hell.  After that, it's like a switch went off, and the cravings basically stopped for a while.  No kidding, it was great.  And then when I did get a craving or a want, it didn't seem to last too long.  All I had to do was keep resisting and to distract myself.  Because it was a bit of a struggle, I tried to distract myself by doing something I enjoyed (like reading or video games).  I didn't do housework!

Hang in there, Donna67.  You have come so far, and you only want to go through this process once.  You are strong enough, and determined enough, to stick with it.  We are all on your side.  Let's stay smoke free together!
